ististist project is a interdisciplinary artistic collective based in Athens and Pelion. Founded by Anna Stroulia and Elias Tsolis in October 2020, ististist project focuses on the interaction of art and education, investigating the correlation between artistic
creation, research and knowledge. Since 2024 ististist project is part of A Collective of Collectives, a network of independent cultural producers that promote experimental creation in Athens, Greece.

ististist project's practice is based on field research and takes the form of collaborative artworks, performative gestures, participatory workshops and interartistic events of (co)creation and (un)learning in cooperation with schools, local communities, organic and inorganic protagonists, artisans, researchers, art professionals and friends in Greece and abroad.

Since its establishement ististist project has collaborated with independent artists, communities and institutions such as The Museum of Modern Art (Odessa, UKR), the Unaccompanied Minors Center of Kinoniko EKAV, the Intercultural School of Athens, The Cultural Association of Milies, the Association for the Care of Minors & Youth SMAN and the Greek Ministry of Culture. In 2025 ististist project has participated at the 4th Larnaca Biennale of Cyprus.

The creation of new narratives that include different diversities, the symbiosis of technological and traditional tools and the climate change challenges facing small communities are some of the research subjects that are set in focus.

      Η ististist project είναι μια διεπιστημονική καλλιτεχνική ομάδα με έδρα την Αθήνα και το Πήλιο. Ιδρύθηκε το 2020 από την Άννα Στρούλια και τον Ηλία Τσόλη και επικεντρώνεται στην αλληλεπίδραση της τέχνης με την εκπαίδευση, διερευνώντας τη σχέση της καλλιτεχνικής δημιουργίας με την έρευνα και τη γνώση.
   Η πρακτική της ististist project βασίζεται στην έρευνα πεδίου και περιλαμβάνει εκθεσιακές, εργαστηριακές, επιτελεστικές, μετα-ποιητικές και υβριδικές δράσεις, καθώς και συμμετοχικές πρακτικές (συν)δημιουργίας και (απο)μάθησης που συχνά εμπλέκουν τοπικές κοινότητες, βιοποικιλότητες, τεχνίτες, ερευνητές, καλλιτέχνες και φίλους στην Ελλάδα και το εξωτερικό.
   Από την ίδρυσή της η ististist project έχει συνεργαστεί με ανεξάρτητους καλλιτέχνες, κοινότητες και ιδρύματα όπως το Μουσείο Μοντέρνας Τέχνης (Οδησσός, UKR), ο Δήμος Νοτίου Πηλίου, η Δομή Φιλοξενίας Ασυνόδευτων Προσφύγων του Κοινωνικού ΕΚΑΒ, το Διαπολιτιστικό Γυμνάσιο Αθηνών, ο Γυναικείος Εξωραιστικός Σύλλογος “Αφέντρες των Αφετών”, ο Σύλλογος Μερίμνης Ανήλικων & Νέων ΣΜΑΝ, ο Εξωραιστικός Σύλλογος Μηλεών Πηλίου “Γρηγόριος Κωνσταντάς” και το Υπουργείο Πολιτισμού (ΥΠΠΟ).
   Η δημιουργία νέων αφηγήσεων που συμπεριλαμβάνουν τις διαφορετικές ετερότητες, η συμβίωση τεχνολογικών και παραδοσιακών εργαλείων και οι προκλήσεις που αντιμετωπίζουν οι τοπικές κοινότητες εν μέσω κλιματικής κρίση είναι μερικά από τα ζητήματα που τίθενται στο επίκεντρo της έρευνάς μας.

in Exarcheia neighbourhood, that hosts in situ installations, solo and group exhibitions, presentations, discussions, dreams, workshops, plants, lectures, concerts, artists, experimental events and new ideas.
